Support NWLA
To learn new languages and to better understand diverse cultures is increasingly important as community becomes global.
Becoming a non-profit organization in order to more effectively serve the South Whidbey and greater Puget Sound communities, the Northwest Language Academy is ready to expand its programs, update technologies and operations.
We have set specific goals for 2008:

- Move office and classrooms to a larger and more
centrally located space.
- Hire an outreach/ development staff member to assist
the NWLA Director.
- Expand on already successful programs, such
as language cafes and summer camps.
- Develop new programs for cross-cultural exchange and
excursions and for corporate trainings.
- Implement language programs for SW School District.
- Raise $30,000 from private donors by May 9th.
Please join the Northwest Language Academy Board in taking the Academy to a new level of sustainability as we come into our eighth year. We invite your to consider this opportunity and help us reach our $30,000 goal before May 9th. By participating with a donation, you will become a significant part of our future at the Northwest Language Academy. We welcome your support at any level.
Donations made through our fiscal sponsor, Youth for a New World, are fully tax-deductible. Checks may be made out to Youth for a New World and sent to the same at Box 379, Clinton, WA 98236. Please include a memo reading “for NWLA”.

NWLA Vision Statement
The Northwest Language Academy makes it possible for residents of the local community to become residents of the larger, global community. Foreign language study, cultural enrichment, and foreign travel are our three approaches to a wider vision of the global community, one in which neighbors of other languages and cultures become our friends, with the deeper understanding of ourselves and other that such cultural study entails.
